Ron West, who just finished on top of a six-way chop in Event #9 two weeks ago, came over and told us of quite a big hand that we wanted to pass along to you guys. According to West, he raised it up under the gun with pocket nines, and got one call from the current chip leader. The flop came down [Kc 10h 9c], and West check called a bet from his opponent. The same action occurred when the [4c] hit the turn, completing the flop flush draw.

The river brought another four, pairing the board and giving West a full house. Rather than check a third time, West elected to open shove for 620,000 into a pot of 400,000. His opponent tanked for a while before calling, and West tabled his full house. His opponent revealed Queen-Jack of clubs for a flopped straight and turned flush that was no good!

After that hand, West is in prime position for another final table, sitting on about 1.7 million with just 22 left!
