On the very next hand, we lost another player, and David Hassett was once again the executioner. This time around, Hasset limped in, and Brian Freeman made it 175,000 to go. When it got back to Hassett, he moved all in, having Freeman covered. Freeman went deep into the tank before eventually making the call.

Hassett: [7s][7c]

Freeman: [Ac][Qc]

Freeman shot out to the lead when the flop came down [Ks][2c][As], giving Freeman top pair. Hassett would need one of the two remaining sevens, or running spades to take the hand. The [8s] came on the turn, and Freeman said “nooo”. He foreshadowed his fate, as the river brought the [10s], giving Hasset a winning flush, and knocking Freeman out in 9th place.
