Paul Chauderson had already been bluffed out of a big pot by Jared Kawalsky when the two got in a raising war preflop. Chauderson ended up shoving on Kawalsky, barely having him covered. Kawalsky made the call, and the cards were flipped up.

Kawalsky: [Ac][Kh]

Chauderson: [Ad][8d]

Chauderson seemed fairly confident that an eight was coming, but he didn’t get any help on the [Qh][7s][2c] flop. Still confident the eight was coming, Chauderson was rewarded for his faith when the [8h] came on the turn. The pro began to celebrate, but it was all too soon, as the [Kd] came on the river, giving Kawalsky the victory in the roller coaster hand.

A few hands later, Chauderson got it in with six-five, and couldn’t beat the Ace-2 of Gary Ablesar. Chauderson, who started the final 10 as the chip leader, was knocked out in 10th place, earning $3,750 for his efforts.
