Edison Shields
7th Place Finisher Edison Shields

Two of the biggest stacks at the table clashed in a colossal hand when Edison Shields raised in the cutoff and Erich Karle called from the small blind. The flop came Q 8 5 with two spades, and Karle put out a large bet of about 300,000. Shields re-raised all of his chips, which was roughly 1.3 million in total. Karle called, and Shields was ahead with pocket Aces going up against Karle’s QJ. But a Q on the turn changed the leader, and a river blank ended Edison Shield’s tourament and made Erich Karle the substantial chip leader at the table.

Edison Shields finished in 7th place and cashed $3,950.
