Play ended last night at 3:30 AM with nine players still alive vying for the Grand Slam of Poker Main Event title! Hogul Lee comes into the day as the chip leader, after scoring a huge double up with 10 players left when his Pocket Queens held up against Ace-Jack after a Jack high flop.

The final table certainly isn’t short of storylines. Fourth in chips is none other than Matt Salsberg. The former TV Executive Producer turn semi-professional poker player is a former WPT Player of the Year, and is one of the most well known and respected poker players in the city. He comes into the day with 42 big blinds.

Right behind him is Massoud Eskandari, who has been on a tear in this series. Just 10 days ago, Eskandari finished on top of a six way chop in Event #2 $200,000 Guaranteed, taking home over $42,000. The Los Angeles pro has an average stack, and is looking to do the improable: win the two biggest tournaments of the series.

Lastly, there’s Ron West, a part-time player who just so happened to also secure his biggest live cash in that very same chop. Ron had the fifth most chips at the time, and walked away with over $25,000! West can best that number with a fifth place finish.

The cards are now in the air, with the blinds at 50,000-100,000. We will be posting eliminations as they happen, and will be posting as soon as a winner is decided!
