We spotted a couple of very familiar faces sitting at adjacent tables in the tenth and final flight of this massive event. Ron West made four major final tables here at the Hustler Casino last year, taking home over $100,000 in doing so. The lion’s share of that money was earned when he took down a $500 buy-in event in December for $52,000.
Sitting just a few feet away from him is Zeke Ramirez. Two years ago, Ramirez did the virutally unthinkable, winning the biggest guaranteed event in back to back serieses. First, he won $165,000 at the Fall Poker Classic, and a months later, he took home $150,000 at the Holiday Classic.
Both of these players, pictured below, are hoping to repeat their success tomorrow, where first place will be over $50,000!
