Next time you complain about a bad beat, you may want to remember this hand and think “well it could be worse.” We caught up with the action on the flop, which read [Ac 4h 4c]. Brian Pascal checked to David Doeh, who moved all in for his last 250,000. Pascal quickly made the call, and turned up….[Jd 10d]?! Pascal claimed he thought he had a flush draw, and Doeh was all but assured a double up with his [Ad 7d].

However, the dealer put a queen on the turn, and a king on the river, to give Pascal the incredibly unlikely knockout.  Doeh sat in silence for a few moments before shaking his head and leaving the table, while Pascal continued to plead his case that he thought he had a flush draw. Regardless, Pascal scored the knock out, and now we are down to just three players.
